Kahuina by Stanford Carr Development is envisioned as a bridge between past and future, rooted in the cultural richness of Ka‘ākaukukui while looking ahead to a vibrant, connected community. SLD was entrusted with shaping the project’s full brand identity, including the creation of logos for Kahuina and its two residential towers, Lamakū and Māmalu, as well as designing the project website. The Kahuina identity reflects a gathering place that binds Waikīkī and Honolulu, honoring local history while fostering connection and celebration. Lamakū’s branding symbolizes a guiding star—resilient and illuminating new beginnings—while Māmalu’s identity pays tribute to ali‘i and maka‘āinana, celebrating the cultural foundations, values, and sense of place that define Hawai‘i.
