Rats represent wisdom because they are the first of the Chinese Zodiacs. They are outgoing, optimistic and highly adaptable in any environment. Like the saying “Rats forsake a sinking ship,” a rat is aware of impending doom and will flee before it occurs. Rats are often artistic creators, inventors, or innovators. Their weaknesses are that they tend to be stubborn, wordy, greedy, devious, and love to gossip.
During the year of the Dog, Rats will have a fast moving year with events ranging from highly positive to extremely negative. Those working for others will be rewarded for their loyalty and persistence. You might feel that you are under a lot of pressure and that you are running out of energy—take the time off to relax. Although it will not be the best year of your life, as long as you take good care of yourself, stay clam and relax, it will still be satisfying. Friends will play an important role in your life in the year of the Dog. Make friends instead of enemies and appreciate all the good friends you have. They will lend a helping hand when you are in need. Watch your temper and think before you speak. Focus your energy on learning this year; do not stand on the same spot without moving forward. Remember, knowledge is not only power, it will help you in many different ways.
